Park(ing) Day transforms parking spaces

WVU students work to decorate a parking area into a mini park for Morgantown residents to enjoy for the day.

The WVU Student Society of Landscape Architects transformed the parking spaces of downtown Morgantown into vibrant mini-parks for the community to enjoy on Sept. 20.

Park(ing) Day aims to promote safer, greener and more equitable streets for pedestrians in urban city environments.

This activism encourages cities and businesses to invest in converting desolate paved parking spaces into lively green areas for pedestrian use.
