Center for Community Engagement offers ‘Let’s go VOTE’

flag

As part of its ongoing commitment to civic engagement, faculty and staff are reminded about the Center for Community Engagement initiative aimed at getting students registered to vote and informing them about the electoral process.

The Center is offering poll worker workshops through the WVU Election Day Ambassador program. These mini-workshops are designed to equip student ambassadors with essential knowledge about the role of poll workers and the vital part they play in our democratic process. To register, students should contact Shaniqua.Williams@mail.wvu.edu.

Mark your calendars for National Voter Registration Day Sept. 17. This is a prime opportunity to encourage students to register by reminding them of the significance of their voice in our democracy.

Additionally, faculty and staff residing in Monongalia County are invited to attend a poll worker training session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Monongalia County Elections Center, 5000 Greenbag Road.

We strongly encourage you to share this resource with your students and motivate them to get involved in this important civic duty. Your participation and support are crucial in making this effort a success.

Check out our website for all the voting information you or your students may need.
