Josiah Koontz, who oversees the University’s sheep flock at the Agronomy Research, Education and Outreach Center, is the winner of this year’s recognition award.
The award will be presented to Koontz at a brief ceremony during Research Week beginning at noon on Thursday, April 4.
Each year, the WVU Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee recognizes one person or group that has contributed to the University’s mission for the ethical use of animals in research.
