During Data Privacy Week, Information Technology Services reminds you to protect your privacy when using social media.

Limit shared info. Prevent cyberstalking by reviewing your GPS and location-tracking settings for all your apps.

Know your audience. Prevent cyberstalking and protect yourself online by reviewing your privacy settings and being choosy about your friends and followers. Aspiring influencers should consider having separate personal and public accounts.

Increase security. Enable strong authentication on all your accounts.

Review past posts. Periodically review information you previously shared online. Something that may not have seemed important or sensitive two years ago may now be a privacy concern.
