The mission of the program is to support junior faculty in becoming independent investigators leading programs in clinical and translational research.
This mission is accomplished through an organized program of financial support, faculty mentoring, professional development seminars and opportunities for the faculty appointed as a research scholar to present their scientific work.
Desired outcomes of the program are to enable investigators to develop peer-reviewed publications and the submission of extramural grant applications, with the ultimate goal of transitioning to independent federal funding (e.g. NIH Kor R-type).
Candidates will be eligible for two years of up to 50% protected time with salary support, additional research and travel funds.
