WVU will honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.
The MLK Achievement Award and MLK Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the event.
The prestigious MLK Achievement Award is presented annually to a resident of West Virginia who best exemplifies the values and ideals taught by Martin Luther King Jr. The award recognizes substantial contributions to the advancement of civil and human rights, humanitarianism, social action, and/or the advancement of diversity and inclusion. Faculty and staff should submit their nominations by 5 p.m. today (Dec. 6).

The MLK Scholarship is awarded annually to a WVU student who demonstrates an active interest and meaningful involvement in areas of human rights, civil rights and social justice.
Encourage your students to apply by Dec. 11.
