The event, designed for children ages five to 120, begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 9) in Clark Hall, Room 101. Guests are also invited to participate in hands-on science activities following the show from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The show carries on the tradition of the famous Faraday Christmas Lectures, named after Michael Faraday, one of the great intellectual giants of chemistry who believed in teaching science to young people.
The Faraday Lecture Series began in 1825 as a way to generate enthusiasm for science.
The event is free and open to the public.
