NY Tree

The story of the Survivor Tree is a symbol of hope and resilience in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

Steve Miller, board-certified master arborist and certified tree care safety specialist for Bartlett Tree Experts, will discuss the care, transplanting and final relocation of the tree back to the Ground Zero site in New York City at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Percival Hall, Room 334.

Miller will also explain how seedlings from the tree have been distributed to places like the Flight 93 Memorial and the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
