The Research Connect Program is an initiative that will provide WVU with R1-level research administration systems and processes to support the University’s goals for growth in research. The effort will focus on implementing new software to optimize processes, reduce review/approval timelines, reduce administrative burden, and provide easy access to information needed to manage research.

The software selected to replace WVU+kc is the Huron Research Suite, which provides R1-ready functionality for the following core components: grants, agreements, protocols, animal operations and conflict of interest. The core components will be integrated with other systems and workflows to meet the full set of research administration and compliance requirements.

The discovery phase has been launched and will include meetings with Research Office staff and other stakeholders responsible for research administration and compliance.

Visit the Research Connect website for more information.
