WVU to hold 9/11 vigil

September 11 Memorial

To mark the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, WVU Army and Air Force ROTC cadets will stand vigil for 24 hours at the University’s 9/11 memorial site, located in front of the Downtown Library.

The vigil begins at 8 a.m. Monday (Sept. 11) . At 8:46 a.m., “Taps” will be played and a moment of silence will be observed, marking the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center.

Members of the University community are invited to visit the vigil site during the annual service.

The vigil continues until 8 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 12).
