Learn how to use R and RStudio for research

library data workshop

WVU Libraries will offer a three-part series of workshops for graduate students and faculty who are interested in learning how to use R and RStudio.

RStudio is open-source software that allows users to perform data analysis and visualization functions as licensed and proprietary software programs, such as SPSS and STATA, on your personal computer for free.

Participants in this in-person workshop will be introduced to basic concepts that are necessary to operate R functions as well as an introduction to entering and reading data into R.

Register to attend this workshop from 3:30-5 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Data Cleaning and Analysis with R and RStudio

Participants in this workshop will learn data cleaning concepts and functions using Base R and the open-source package Tidyverse. The workshop will also include basic data analysis functions built-in to the software.

Register to attend this workshop from 3:30-5 p.m. on Sept. 20.

Data Visualization and Presentation with R and RStudio

Participants in this workshop will learn how to visualize data using the open-source package ggplot2 and how to present analysis and findings with the open-source package RMarkdown.
