West Virginia University Institute of Technology officially opened the U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall Congressional Archive with an Aug. 2 ribbon cutting ceremony in Beckley.

Presidents Gordon Gee and T. Ramon Stuart were among the speakers.

The Beckley archive site, 512 S. Kanawha Street, includes a selection of photos and records spanning Rahall’s 38 years representing the Mountain State in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The bulk of the Rahall archives are housed at the West Virginia and Regional History Center in Morgantown.
