WVU Tech held a Cub Club and Kids Corner ribbon cutting on July 14 attended by youth, parents, guardians, community partners and friends.
The Kids Corner is a project created by the WVU Tech Library team and funded through the Transformation Grant process to establish a study area for youth visiting campus with their family members.
A new way for kids to show their Golden Bear spirit, Monty’s Cub Club is a program for children ages 16 and younger. Cubs who join will receive official club membership cards with special opportunities at Homecoming and other events.
Cub Club membership is free thanks to support from Pendleton Community Bank. Sponsors include Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and Active Southern West Virginia and Chick-fil-A Beckley.
