University Police launches new website

WVU Police Officer Cody Smith

To organize the many safety offerings provided by the department, the WVU Police website has been redesigned to provide an enhanced user experience.

The new website features a comprehensive list of University Police services, including information on event support, bicycle registration and vehicle assistance. Campus community members can also learn about campus safety resources like LiveSafe and the WVU Alert system.

Faculty, staff and students can use the Campus Training section to view University Police training offerings and request a training session for their group.

Among additional elements, the Clery Act section provides a closer look at Clery Act guidance and resources, such as the 90-day Crime and Fire Log and the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.

While browsing the new website, be sure to visit the Announcements section and meet University Police’s campus safety officers. Campus safety officers serve in a complementary position to University Police officers. These employees are non-sworn civilian officers who assist with non-emergency needs.
