The Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design Energy Land Management program will host the second annual Energy, Environment and Excitement Camp July 16-22.
Designed to foster student interest and promote inclusivity in the energy industry, this dynamic educational opportunity aims to introduce students in grades 8-10 to various career paths in the energy sector through engaging workshops and interactive sessions.
Attendees will also gain a comprehensive understanding of the energy sector and its critical role in environmental sustainability. With a focus on Geographic Information Systems, contracts and best business practices, students will acquire practical knowledge needed to excel in their future careers.
“One of the most remarkable aspects of the Energy, Environment and Excitement Camp is its commitment to accessibility,” said Stephanie P. Hines, energy land management teaching associate professor and E3 Camp director. “The program is entirely free for youths attending — removing financial barriers and ensuring that all interested participants have an equal opportunity to benefit from this enriching experience.”
The camp will facilitate interactions among participants, faculty and industry professionals, providing opportunities for youths to gain valuable insights and establish connections within the energy sector.
This free experience is made possible through generous gifts by sponsors Equitrans, Southwestern Energy, Pandell, the American Association of Professional Landmen and Infinity Natural Resources.
