University community invited to celebrate graduates during Commencement Weekend

Commencement Graduation

It’s a time of celebration at West Virginia University as we honor the Class of 2023.

Commencement ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. Friday (May 12) and continue through Sunday (May 14) at the Coliseum and Canady Creative Arts Center.

Faculty, staff, current students and others in the University community are invited to join this special time for soon-to-be University alumni either in person or virtually.

See the full schedule and find links to livestreams which will begin a few minutes before each scheduled ceremony time.

Friday, May 12

Saturday, May 13

Sunday, May 14

Please be aware of the potential for increased traffic near the Coliseum and the Canady Creative Arts Center before and after scheduled ceremonies.

For those planning to attend, tickets are not required. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. The University’s Clear Bag Policy is in effect at both the Coliseum and the Canady Creative Arts Center.

Free ceremony parking is available at both venues with shuttle service. Limited handicap accessible parking is available at each site. A valid ADA placard must be displayed.

The PRT closed for the summer on Saturday, May 6, and will not be an option for transportation to and from Commencement Weekend ceremonies.

Congratulations to the graduates!
