The Office of Sustainability will host its first book recycling collection for 2023 during the week of Feb. 6. The deadline to request a pickup is tomorrow (Feb. 1).
The WVU community is invited to participate in the biannual book recycling program designed to help departments recycle unwanted paper items from their offices and storage rooms.
The program primarily is intended for hardback books, but individuals also may include paperback books, journals, magazines, spiral notebooks, hanging file folders and pamphlets.
Fill out this form to request a pickup.
Those employees based on the WVU Health Sciences campus do not need to submit a pickup request form. These employees can drop off their boxes in room G351 near the Receiving Room before Friday (Feb. 3).
This special pick-up service does not include confidential document shredding needs. Visit the Office of Sustainability website to learn more about shredding services, including pricing and acceptable shredding material.
A public drop-off location will be set up in the Potomac Room of the Mountainlair from Feb. 1-3 for employees and students wanting to recycle personally-owned books. Individuals may drop off books between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
