As part of their commitment to fostering a safe environment for the campus community, members of the WVU Police Department are holding on-campus training exercises for officers from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. this week at Arnold Hall Annex and Apartments.

These exercises provide officers with continued active shooter training and critical education on crisis response.

The immediate areas surrounding Arnold Hall Annex and Apartments will be secured and available only to responders and authorized personnel during the exercises. The main area of the building will not be used during the exercises and will remain accessible to faculty, staff and students.

Additionally, signage is posted in these areas to alert faculty, staff, students and visitors while exercises are in progress.

Members of the University community may also see an increased number of police cars near Arnold Hall Annex and Apartments while officers participate in the training exercises.
