Performance review process begins in January

In support of WVU’s continued focus on recognizing and rewarding high performance across our institution, the Division of Talent and Culture plans to roll out the 2022 performance review process for classified and non-classified staff and certain FE/AP employees starting Jan. 17.

The 2022 performance review period will cover Jan. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2022.

Aligned with WVU’s core values, the annual performance review process is designed to measure an employee’s capabilities, accomplishments, development, and overall contributions to the University, as well as the critical role each employee plays in bringing our land-grant mission to life.

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, employees will receive a link to complete their pre-review, while supervisors will receive an email beginning Jan. 31 to their WVU account from the performance management system along with instructions to complete the performance review for each eligible employee (those hired prior to July 1, 2022).

Note: As part of this year’s process, WVU Research Corporation employees will use the standard Research Corp. performance management system for completing their reviews.

To help people leaders prepare for performance reviews, HR partners will be working in their departments to roll out training for supervisors.
