The Morgantown Community Orchestra’s Winter Concert promises to put you in a festive mood for the holidays as it performs uplifting classics conducted by Alyssa Schwartz beginning at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Falbo Theatre, Canady Creative Arts Center.
The orchestra has reached a new milestone of more than 50 musicians
“It is extremely exciting to have an ensemble of this size and strength,” said Schwartz, music director of the Morgantown Community Orchestra. “This has enabled us to tackle a more expansive and demanding repertoire this term and the musicians have really risen to the occasion in mastering the technical and artistic demands of this music.”
Due to limited seating, attendees are asked to RSVP for the event and show the QR code at the door. Guests are also encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes early to choose their seats and enjoy pre-concert music by the MCO chamber groups.
“Come share with us the gift of music and join in the holiday cheer,” said Shaun Hancher, assistant director of the Morgantown Community Orchestra. “With each concert, we grow in size and ability, as well as the amount of people we touch with our gifts.”
The concert will also be live streamed.
