Today is Veterans Day, a day to honor all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Throughout the University’s more than 150-year history, there have been countless veterans, service members and dependents of veterans who contributed to our collective success through their leadership, dedication and unrivaled work ethic.
In recognition of the resources and support provided to veterans to be successful in their careers, WVU has earned the 2023 Military Friendly® Employer designation.
In support of these efforts to help our veterans succeed, we encourage faculty and staff veterans of the U.S. military to voluntarily self-identify as protected veterans.
The confidential self-identifying process is quick and simple:
1. Visit portal.wvu.edu and log in by using your WVU credentials.
2. Select the "MyHR" tab.
3. Select "Veteran Status."
4. Enter your information and select "Submit."
