The WVU Women’s Resource Center is launching the second annual Period Cup Campaign today (Oct. 31) to help make a sustainable impact on campus and raise awareness about period care.
Partnering with the same company this fall, All Matters, the WRC will distribute period cups from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday (Oct. 31) and Tuesday (Nov. 1) in the Mountainlair.
Typically a $30 value, these reusable, medical grade, silicone menstrual cups replace pads and tampons, offering a cleaner, healthier and greener menstrual product.
To help celebrate the campaign, all are invited to join a virtual panel at 4 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 1) to discuss environmental sustainability, how to use a period cup, how to determine cup size, the pros and cons of cups, menstrual hygiene and menstrual equity.
Register to attend the virtual discussion.
The WRC has already distributed more than 400 period cups around campus.
