We are officially down to the final days of the 2022 WVU United Way campaign and our campus community has generously raised $151,789. The campaign will continue through the end of October.
Consider donating today to help change the game for our local community.
The United Way does so much for our community and every donation counts, no matter the size. Nearly half of all households in our community are living below the federal poverty level or are one step away from financial crisis.
Approximately 42% of Monongalia and Preston County residents take advantage of services offered by the United Way. Some of these services and programs include Community Kitchen, Inc., PACE Enterprises and Scott’s Run Settlement House.
These programs, along with many other programs funded by the United Way, help local residents meet their basic needs like housing, child care, food, transportation, health care and more.
There are plenty of ways to donate, including payroll deduction, which has been expanded to 1, 9, 12, 18 or 24 pay periods either online using a credit or debit card, by texting CHANGETHEGAME to 41444 or with VENMO @unitedwaympc.
Whichever way you choose to donate, you can have the confidence of knowing that it’s going to make a direct impact on our community.
