ITS suggests Apple computer users delay Ventura OS upgrade until compatibility is ensured

Information Technology Services recommends that faculty, staff and students on all campuses wait to install Apple’s latest operating system, Ventura, until it has been proven compatible with critical applications such as eCampus, STAR, Microsoft Office and Sophos Anti-Virus.

This recommendation applies to both WVU-owned and personally-owned computers that are used for work or study.

Ventura was released today (Oct. 24), but both ITS and Health Sciences ITS will block the installation on computers they manage for at least 60 days.

ITS will provide an update when Ventura is cleared for installation.
