October is Biosafety and Biosecurity Month

Biosafety and Biosecurity Month

In recognition of ABSA International Biosafety and Biosecurity Month, the WVU Biosafety Office of the Environmental Health and Safety Department will shine a spotlight on engagement, stewardship, transparency and training, while fostering positive relationships with the research community and supporting responsible and ethical research.

Throughout the month, WVU Biosafety will engage in awareness campaigns and activities to enhance and reinforce the key principles of biosafety on campus.

Join our team for activities, prizes and information on the following dates:

  • From 1-3 p.m. Oct. 25, first floor commons area of the Health Sciences Center

  • From 1-3 p.m. Oct. 26, third floor lobby of the new Agricultural Sciences Building

We will also use the hashtag #biosafety_biosecuritymonth to highlight our activities on social media. Look for flyers posted throughout campus for more information.
