To help West Virginia University staff pursue their educational goals and realize the benefits of a WVU education, WVU Staff Council has partnered with University administration since 1986 to offer the WVU Staff Council Scholarship program.
The application for the spring 2023 semester is now available online. The deadline to apply is Nov. 1.
Note: To ensure the ongoing application process is more secure, employees are required to authenticate their identity by using their WVU login credentials to access the application.
Through the scholarship program, eligible employees, including those at WVU Tech in Beckley and WVU Potomac State College in Keyser, can receive up to $1,335 per semester to cover the costs of tuition and fees at any WVU campus.
The exact scholarship amount is dependent on the bill received by the scholarship recipient for each semester, which may vary based on campus enrollment, residency status and course selection.
Classified and non-classified benefits-eligible employees employed by WVU, as well as non-commissioned officers serving as staff with the WVU Army and Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) programs, are welcome to apply. Participants must be enrolled at a WVU campus and registered for at least one class.
