Honors College faculty fellow to explore extended reality during webinar

David Smith

Extended reality — both augmented and virtual reality — is poised to reshape how we experience the world around us. At 6 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 23), join David Smith, teaching assistant professor in the Reed College of Media, for the first lecture of the Honors College Faculty Fellows Webinar Series.

During the hour long presentation, Smith will explore how extended reality represents the possibility of a significant shift in how we communicate. He'll also touch on how it will impact various industries, including health care, engineering, education and entertainment.
