Nominations are now being accepted for the University’s highest service honor — The Order of Vandalia.
This award is given each year to people who have provided extraordinary service to WVU over many years and will be presented during the induction ceremony scheduled for fall 2023.
The deadline for submissions is Dec. 30.
Nominees must be living and should be people who have provided outstanding or distinguished service to WVU, either as a layperson or as a member of the University faculty or staff. Faculty or staff members are not eligible for induction until the year following their retirement.
No one will be inducted into the Order of Vandalia who is currently serving on the WVU Board of Governors, the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission or is in an elected position.
Nominees should not be told they are being nominated.
