Graduate students needed to serve as mentors at annual ice cream social

Ice Cream Social

WVU graduate students in all disciplines and colleges are needed to serve as peer mentors to undergraduate students at the annual "Graduate Life: The Real Story and Ice Cream Social," hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research, Graduate Admissions and Recruitment and the SURE program.

This in-person event will be held Tuesday, July 26, from 4:30-6 p.m. at the National Research Center, Room 101, on the Evansdale Campus. Peer mentors are asked to arrive early at 4 p.m. for check-in and table assignments.

Graduate students will facilitate a group corresponding with their disciplinary background. Specifically, we are seeking graduate students to discuss academics, research experiences, duties, responsibilities and benefits, as well as dealing with setbacks and career potential in small discipline-specific group discussions.

Find more information and sign up here by 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 19.
