WVU’s Presbyterian Campus Ministries launches ‘Front Porch Ministry’ series

Beginning today (June 22) and every Wednesday through Aug. 10, WVU Presbyterian Campus Ministries will host regional singers, educators, authors, University President Gordon Gee, and others with WVU ties, for discussion and fellowship during “Front Porch Ministry.” 

This community outreach event is open to the public and will take place each Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m at the Campus Ministry Center, 293 Willey Street.  

The tentative schedule is as follows: 

June 22, Judy Werner and Donna Weems, “The DAA Drum Strummers,” a dulcimer group

June 29, Albert Anderson and Logan Neccuzi

July 6, Michael Attfield, Jim and Sheila Rye

July 13, WVU President Gordon Gee

July 20, Eve Faulkes

July 27, Jim Nolan

Aug. 3, Francene Kirk, director, Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center, Fairmont State University, and JoAnn Dadisman, storytelling

Aug. 10., Chris Haddox

Those speaking and performing will sit in rocking chairs with historical significance that have been donated and will have a permanent place at the Campus Ministry Center.
