WVU faculty and staff are invited to attend a virtual information session hosted by The Center for Community Engagement to explore the resources for community engaged scholarship and teaching at WVU Thursday (May 12) from 4-5 p.m.
The WVU Center for Community Engagement serves as a resource hub for faculty interested in Academic Community Engagement, offering considerable resources and support for the involvement of community engagement into teaching, research and service.
We encourage WVU faculty to incorporate community engagement into their scholarship while including students in this work, thereby developing students and community who are better prepared for successful careers, thoughtful citizenship, and increasing resources to impact the well-being of our community and our state.
The goals of this virtual meeting include:
• General information sharing about Community Engaged Scholarship.
• How to designate classes for Service-Learning.
• The Academic Community Engagement Academy for Faculty.
• WVU’s Community of Practice.
• Request for support and advice on how to build the culture of Community Engaged Scholarship at WVU.
