Come out to celebrate the second annual WVU Adviser Appreciation Day today (April 26), sponsored by the WVU Academic Advising Council and the Office of the Provost to honor our academic advisers on all WVU campuses. There are plenty of opportunities to show your appreciation in person and virtually to those who help ensure WVU students are successful in the classroom and beyond.
Stop by an Appreciation Station from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on one of our campuses to mingle with advisers, jot down a note of gratitude to post on appreciation boards or send a postcard to your favorite adviser through campus mail. Stations will be located on the main level of the Mountainlair, the ground floor of Evansdale Crossing, The Pylons at HSC, the Student Union Porch at Potomac State College and the LRC Library Lobby at WVU Tech.
Not going to be on campus? Not a problem. Find links to a public Kudoboard for posting messages, downloadable graphics for Zoom and social media, as well as tips on sending private messages and emails by visiting go.wvu.edu/adviser.
You can also view inspiring statistics about our academic advisers and moving testimonials from students on the website.
WVU Advisor Appreciation Day will also include the annual Advising Celebration, during which the 2021-22 Nicholas Evans Excellence in Advising Award recipients will be announced at 3 p.m. in the Erickson Alumni Center. All are welcome to attend in person or virtually but will need to RSVP to attend via Zoom.
