Join the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design for its Graduate Student Research and Creative Scholarship Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow (April 26) in the Agricultural Sciences Building. This annual event provides a unique forum for graduate student researchers to share their scholarly work and enhance their professional development.
Students will present their work in one of two ways - oral presentation or poster. Research and creative scholarship are two categories that will be recognized at both the master’s and doctorate levels. All portions of the event are free and open to the public.
The day will also feature the Davis-Michael Distinguished Lecture. This year, it will be given by Alicia Coleman, a doctoral student in regional planning at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Mario Machado, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Vermont. The pair will discuss their collaborative Extension Foundation project, "Ecosystem Services in Working Lands, Practice and Policy of the U.S. Northeast."
