The College of Education and Human Services is pleased to announce its Center for Disability Inclusion has been awarded funding to continue operation of the Job Accommodation Network, known as JAN.

The award of $12.4 million from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy will enable JAN to continue providing free, expert and confidential services for the next four years.

“We’re excited to continue to be recognized as the leading source for providing accommodation and ADA technical assistance,” said DJ Hendricks, director of the Center for Disability Inclusion. “This funding will enable us to continue providing free, customized accommodation solutions to the more than 45,000 cases we receive annually from across the country, provide live training sessions and continually improve our extensive website.”

Serving customers across the United States for nearly 40 years, JAN provides free one-on-one practical guidance and technical assistance on job accommodation solutions, self-employment and entrepreneurship options for people with disabilities, and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act and related legislation.
