This spring, all career fairs will be aligned with West Virginia University’s career pathways. These changes were made to streamline employers recruiting from disciplines that extend beyond individual Colleges and encourage students to attend the events that best match their career goals, rather than by major.
The former Chambers College Career and Internship Fair and the WVU Career and Internship Fair have been renamed and restructured as the new Business and Communications Career and Internship Fair and the Behavior and Social Sciences Career and Internship Fair. The Behavior and Social Sciences Career and Internship Fair will also encompass the former Education Career Fair.
Additionally, the Agriculture and Natural Sciences Career and Internship Fair will now be hosted bi-annually, as previously it was only during the fall semester. It will conveniently be hosted back-to-back with the STEM Career and Internship Fair to allow companies who hire across a wide range of relevant majors.
As students adapt to the new schedule, Career Services can help guide them to the right event. Career Services operates Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Career Development Specialists are available to help with resume reviews, practice interviews, and other career-related questions through in-person or virtual appointments.
Students can schedule appointments and view the latest job postings and events by logging in to Handshake using their WVU login credentials.
