Graduate Fellows recognized for Fall 2021

Grand Fellows

The Office of Graduate Education and Life held a reception in the Mountainlair Ballroom in October to welcome and recognize new and returning Graduate Fellows. Nineteen new Fellows from across the nation began their graduate studies at WVU in August.

The 2021-22 academic year presents a total of 76 students who hold a Fellowship and an additional four STEM completion grant recipients. A grand total of 80 students have received esteemed fellowship awards and are hard at work in research.

Provost Maryanne Reed and Julie Lockman, assistant vice president for graduate education from the Health Sciences Center, were among the honored guests at the reception to welcome the Fellows. The Fellows were recognized in a brief ceremony by Richard Thomas, interim associate provost for Graduate Academic Affairs, and Jessica Queener, assistant provost for graduate education policy.
