The C. Eugene Bennett Department of Chemistry annual Children’s Chemistry show will be held Saturday (Dec. 4) at 10:30 a.m in 101 Clark Hall, followed by hands-on chemistry activities.

The 75-minute experience is in the tradition of the famous Faraday Christmas Lectures, which were started by chemist Michael Faraday in 1825 to generate enthusiasm for science among young people. The Children’s Chemistry Show celebrates Faraday’s noble idea with a series of chemical demonstrations aimed to please children of all ages.

This event is free and open to the public. Masks are required for all participants and family members.
