Save the dates. The WVU Women’s Resource Center is excited to offer free period cups to WVU students, faculty and staff to help raise awareness about sustainability, period care and the benefits of using a menstrual cup.
Partnering with the same company this fall, now renamed All Matters, the WRC will distribute period cups Nov. 8-11 in the Mountainlair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Typically a $30 value, these reusable, medical grade, silicone menstrual cups replace pads and tampons, offering a cleaner, healthier and greener menstrual product. So, stop by and don’t forget to pick up a cup.
To help celebrate the campaign on Nov. 9, all are invited to join a virtual panel discussion on environmental sustainability, how to use a period cup, how to determine cup size, the pros/cons of cups, menstrual hygiene and menstrual equity. Register here.
The WRC has already distributed more than 400 period cups around campus. See what the buzz is all about. Learn more about this campaign.
The WRC provides a comprehensive list of on-and-off campus resources for women and families. The site includes information on career resources, basic needs, healthcare, dependent care, healthy living, student organizations as well as services for immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, veterans and women’s rights groups.
