Let’s Talk addresses accommodation

lets talk

Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Meshea L. Poore continues her weekly series of short videos, exploring topics centered on helping members of the WVU community live, learn and work together with care and respect for each other.

This week’s video, released Oct. 26, addresses accommodation.

“Reasonable accommodations remove barriers to an institution’s programs, services, or activities and they are a civil right,” said Poore. “Accommodations are always intended to promote full access for full participation of people with disabilities in our community. To be able to engage in one’s work, education, and public life is what everyone should support and celebrate.”

The Let’s Talk series, with a new video each Tuesday, addresses a diversity of topics, including equity, xenophobia, and ableism.
