Join us as we chat with Walter Lafky about Harvestly.co, a hyperlocal marketplace connecting local vendors to local consumers, Oct. 21, from 3-4 p.m.
Lafky founded Harvestly.co to empower local food producers to build direct-to-consumer sales channels. He has dedicated a large portion of his life to helping support local farmers, bakers, artisans and many others. His passion for local food started when he was 14 when he started his first business, Wally's Tomatoes.
He started a garden on one of his family's properties in Oregon; the garden eventually turned into Wally's Tomatoes and was delivering approximately 1,000 pounds of tomatoes per week. From this experience, he learned about how local food producers are underserved by technology and are neglected by many.
