rec center

Due to staffing shortages, hours of operation will be adjusted at the Student Recreation Center beginning today (Sept. 16). Facilities usage and operations were reviewed to determine where adjustments could be made.

Please note, these adjustments are being made due to a lack of applications for employment and are not a result of COVID-19 cases or ongoing COVID-19 testing in the facility.

Hours of operation beginning Sept. 16:

  • Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.

  • Friday: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.*

  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

  • The Aquatics area (pool, leisure pool, spa, etc.) will close one hour prior to building closing unless otherwise specified.

*The Student Recreation Center will close two hours prior to the kick-off for home football games. Please visit WVU Football Schedule for announced game times. On Saturday, Sept. 18 the WVU vs. Virginia Tech game kicks off at 12 noon; hours for the Student Rec Center and the aquatics area will be 8-10 a.m.

There will be a WVUGo Job Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Upper Courts of the Rec Center. Encourage students to attend to learn more and apply for a wide range of student work and federal work-study positions. Available positions include reservation attendants, facilities maintenance technicians, officials and competitive sports assistants. The Rec offers flexible hours in an energy-fill workplace.
