TSA extends mask requirement for public transportation, including PRT and buses

To best protect passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has extended its face mask requirement on all public transportation through Jan. 18, 2022.

This requirement extends to all public transportation in Morgantown, including the WVU PRT and WVU buses.

The WVU Transportation team expects all passengers — regardless of vaccination status — to comply with this requirement while traveling on WVU transportation. Masks should be worn properly over the nose and mouth during the entirety of your commute.

Students and employees ride the PRT for free with a valid WVU ID. The PRT is open Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m., and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed on Sunday. Buses will run during extended PRT downtime and only during that time.
