Virtual mindfulness workshops scheduled to begin Monday

Virtual mindfulness

The mindfulness team presents its latest round of workshops to learn various experiential techniques and bring focused attention into the “now moment” to enjoy a calmer mental and emotional state.

In this collection of self-care workshops, participants will learn about the science of burnout along with mindfulness meditation, quick yoga movements, and breathing techniques from the yoga tradition to attain more life balance while effectively sustaining energy throughout the day.

All three sessions will take place Mondays via Zoom from noon to 1p.m.

  • Aug. 2: Mindfulness and Pain

  • Aug. 16: Mindfulness and Sleep

  • Aug. 30: Self-Care is not Selfish

The workshops are free for students, faculty and staff. Sessions can be attended individually or consecutively, and recordings will be available for those unable to attend live at noon.

Contact wellness specialist Anthony Danko to register or receive the mindfulness workshop recordings.
