Latest winners announced as WVU’s COVID-19 vaccine verification incentives moves into final week

West Virginia University’s COVID-19 vaccine verification incentives program has moved into its final week giving employees and students the opportunity to win prizes for verifying their vaccine with the University. 

Those who complete the vaccine verification process will be automatically entered to win. Adventure is this week’s theme (July 22-28). The winners will be announced next Thursday (July 29) in UNEWS and ENEWS.

Adventure Week prizes include: 

• 1 winner will be selected to receive a free spot on a domestic winter or spring break program of their choice. (Adventure WV puts together amazing trips to locations all around the country; Florida Everglades, New England ski slopes and ice crags, desert rivers and mountains.) (1 x $900)

Also,

• Sunset canopy tour and dinner (Bring along 7 friends or family for a great night out at the Outdoor Education Center. Winner chooses the day and the menu.) = ~$600 ($75 per person)   

• Custom weekend Adventure trip for 6 (Pick your crew and your itinerary. Choose from rafting, climbing, flatwater paddling, hiking and more; work with Adventure WV to customize your weekend Adventure experience.) = $750 ($125 per person)   

• Aerial team building adventure for you and your club/organization/residence hall floor (Spend the day with Adventure WV at the Outdoor Education Center for a customizable day on the ropes course or canopy tour. Lunch is included. Max of 50 people.) = $2,250 ($45 per person) 

• $250 of free outdoor gear rentals for a semester (e.g. bikes, boats, skis, snowboards and more) 1 x $250 

• Open enrollment canopy tour for 2 ($116.60)   

• $50 free adventure rentals for a semester x 5 ($250)  

To verify your vaccine today and to be entered to win prizes, visit myhousing.wvu.edu. The verification takes around three minutes to complete and makes our campus safer ahead of the fall semester. 

If you’ve already verified, you are automatically enrolled into the program. Winners will be notified via email each Tuesday and have until Wednesday at noon to claim their prize.
