Applaud updates on Sunday will fix performance issues and software bugs

Employees may notice several performance improvements and some minor functionality changes in the Applaud system after our normal maintenance period for MAP and Applaud on Sunday (July 18). 

Hourly workers will see a new error message if they attempt to submit a leave request when their timecard has an error. Supervisors will need to correct time entries before the leave request can be submitted. If a timecard has any errors, all time entries will be highlighted in turquoise.

To improve performance for supervisors, the Team Calendar will no longer display courtesy assignments. Supervisors will still see their direct reports on the Team page and will have access to the courtesy employee’s profile to view work status, contact information and more. 

Other updates will:

  • Let the supervisor of an employee with multiple assignments, such as department chair and instructor, submit leave from the Leave Dashboard page.

  • Improve the loading speed of timecard exception pages.

  • Prevent end-dated employee phone numbers from appearing to supervisors.

  • Ensure Team Leave balances appear correctly to supervisors when the effective date is changed.
