AGE-ADAR Scholars Program welcomes first cohort of scholars

AGE ADAR-Scholars 2021

The Appalachian Gerontology Experiences: Advancing Diversity in Aging Research Scholars Program welcomes their first cohort of scholars into the Summer 2021 research internship.

The AGE-ADAR Scholars Program summer research internship will be held from May 17- June 25.. Throughout the six weeks, the AGE-ADAR Scholars will attend classes taught by Julie Hicks Patrick (principal investigator) Amy Fiske, Kristina Hash and Bernard Schreurs to learn about the field of aging and health disparities in Appalachia. 

The scholars’ research funded by the National Institute on Aging will be presented at our poster symposium on June 25.
