The WVU Research Office is encouraging faculty and graduate students to participate in a survey – which will be delivered via email today (April 14) – that will assess the climate of research integrity on campus.

The WVU Survey of Organizational Research Climate (SOURCE) will arrive in an email from the National Center for Professional & Research Ethics at ethicsctr@illinois.edu with a link and instructions.

Participation is voluntary, and responses will remain anonymous. The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

“This is an opportunity for us to take action on the basis of evidence,” said WVU Vice President for Research Fred King. “To contribute to WVU’s missions of research and service, it's imperative that researchers have a positive climate for their work.”

The externally validated instrument will assess the environment for responsible research practices, and will provide useful information in evaluating and enhancing WVU’s policies, processes and educational efforts.

If you have questions about WVU’s implementation of the survey, contact Trisha Phillips, interim director of research integrity, at trisha.phillips@mail.wvu.edu.
