WVU celebrates Student Employee Appreciation Week

Student Employee Appreciation Week Graphic

Student Employee Appreciation Week is April 12-16. Take this opportunity to celebrate all student workers in the WVU system, especially those who have been nominated by their supervisors for the 2021 WVU Student Employee of the Year.

This year’s finalists represent all three WVU Campuses. Our congratulations go out to Michael McClurg, Miracle Hopkins, Elijah Dempseym and Camille Mullens. Follow the social media accounts of the Mountaineer Hub, Career Services and the Beckley and Keyser campuses to learn more about these students and others who were nominated. Winners will be announced next week during a virtual celebration.

Throughout Student Employee Appreciation Week, we encourage all supervisors to find a way to let their student workers know — even if it’s virtually — how much they appreciate their work. Drop a note, send a message, grab them a coffee, decorate their workspace or find another way to let them know how valuable they are. It’s been a challenging year and our student employees have adapted and persevered through it all. We thank each and every one of them for their dedication.
