WVU and the Office of Graduate Education and Life will celebrate Graduate Student Appreciation Week April 5-10 and would like you to take a moment to express your appreciation for the important contributions graduate and professional students make to our University by providing invaluable services through teaching, research and service activities.
Graduate and professional students work hard, make sacrifices and often face challenges on the path to earning an advanced degree, and many of these students will go on to careers that will enhance the well-being of others across the state, nation and world. This week is a good opportunity to commend them for their determination and commitment to higher education and WVU.
Watch a video message from Richard Thomas, associate provost for Graduate Academic Affairs.
Along with various recreational activities and scheduling professional headshots, OGEL will share trivia questions on Twitter where graduate and professional students will have an opportunity to win prizes. OGEL will also share messages of support from several University leaders who recognize the critical contributions these students have on our community. In addition to social media, these messages will be shared on the OGEL website and YouTube channel.
