The WVU Organic Farm is now selling shares for its community supported agriculture program. Each share costs $400 and guarantees one box of vegetables each week for four months this summer.
Current vegetable growing plans include:
• Summer Squash.
• Zucchini.
• Slicing tomatoes.
• Cherry tomatoes.
• Bell peppers.
• Sweet peppers.
• Jalapenos.
• Spinach.
• Kale.
• Head lettuce.
• Potatoes.
• Garlic.
• Onions.
• Sweet potatoes.
• Broccoli.
• Cabbage.
• Sugar snap peas.
• Snow peas.
The work required to run the CSA including seeding, transplanting, cultivating and harvesting provides hands-on experience to WVU students interested in sustainable or small-scale agriculture.
